62, Bye 2-10

Happy new year everyone, I hope you all have a safe and prosperous twenty eleven.

Yeah I know, slightly more than 62 coins but what are you gonna do and 've been drinking. Its actually made up of three photos as I don't have enough coins to do it in one shot.

61, Clean up Aisle 7

I've always maintained that there are savings in every aisle. Big savings at that.

60, There's truth in Color

Today is another milestone, sixty days and still going strong. Some images over the journey I like, others were a bit rushed and a compromise and I may redo them over one day and display the original and the fine tuned to see if playing with time improves the subject.

Today the truth lies in the detail and is the perfect metaphor of a glass half full (with matching photographer) and I'd like to introduce todays hand model; Kiwi John from England (you know who you are you little dickens) I look forward to the next 60 days and pray for divine inspiration.

  

59, I cant believe its not .....

I know that the title for these images will send me to hell, but you filled in the missing word so you'll be there with me. I also know its a real bad pun. 

We gave Christianity a fair run for,   well,  Christmas. So It's time for Buddha to get a guernsey and if I'm not mistaken Buddhism has no hell so its an each way bet.

58, Hello Old Friend

Over the Christmas period I visited my mother at her house in the burbs and came across a scene that takes me back to a posting on skulladay of a spooky pot plant.

Unfortunately, plant has died and only left pot so I re-purposed him as a money box. not so scary now hey.

57, Smashing Christmas

Twas the day after Christmas and all through the house, you know the rest...... But a riddle for my quizzical ones. What goes in red and comes out cold and gold?   No no, not a Chardonnay but  a shard of glass.

You put a brightly colored bottle of water in the freezer to chill rapidly and then drink heavily and forget. voila.

Its a huge responsibility for such a little man like me to guard all this coinage. I may do it with some trepidation but I also do it with lots of cute.

In his hands, yes thanks to my hand model Jon. He really does have the whole of my dollars in his hands, not so much the whole world, the grip he has on that is tenuous at best.

52, A present like the time.

Ah I'm sorry my pretty little watchers, I am in such a rush tonite that all I had time to do is make a quick photo of a splash of coins and a bad pun. Forgive me.

51, Starting to look a lot like

Its almost there so I thought I'd better do at least one Christmas styled image. and I reckon there may by one or two more before the big day.  This ones a bit washed out and has the appearance of felt or sand, so I'll have a play and see what we can sharpen up for our  next attempt.

50, Conceptual Art.

With the tune 'Every sperm is sacred ' playing in my brain, I give you this conceptual piece of art  called; The Birth of the Almighty Dollar. And yes I did find another chocolate filled dollar coin and this ones a monster.

And you guy's thought sperm No2 was gonna be the one then at the last moment No3 hits the mark. Look at that glow of smugness, TOUCHDOWN  um sorry bout that, caught up in the moment.

49, Pretty as a

This is Oscar the wonder dog or at least a painting of him. It was painted by I.R.Blackey, Oscars adoptive grandmother, 10"x14" oil on canvas. 

48, I'm Lichen This

This is the top of my flaky paint lichen encrusted letterbox. A nice juxtaposition between shiny and crusty don't you think.

47, Needle ina

Grows on trees, found in the green green grass, and now as elusive as a needle in a stack of hay.

46, Doesn't grow on ....

It will never be mistaken for lawn, but my cooch grass will do me fine, especially if it has this much gold in it.

45, Dirty

Its brown, its gritty, its dirty. Yes its dirt; oh and theres also something thats green. The garden is on the todo list.

44, Heaven and Earth

Purely unintentional, but this distorted image is like the one below but got a little warped. Looks a little earth like to me.

Another of the outside of my house shots, this is the roof of one of our not so well kept cars. I think I have found the clouds that surround my earth.

43, Decay

For the next week I'm gunna show some interesting shots from outside my old house. I'ts slowly getting renovated but its going to take a lot of dollars to see it back to its original beauty. 

What I was looking for is character and these shots of a window sill and railing seem to have that at least, although its probably paint they really need.

42, Spiney

Like a school of fish in a feeding frenzy or maybe the shingley back of some creature. Every day I find patterns that stand out, to me they are mythical beasts, let your mind wander or wonder at what we have just found in an imaginary dig.

I love this time of year, most businesses are trying to make big money out of Christmas, but I found a company making real big money. Big Chocolate Money. Fa Joy Fa Joy.

4 Zero, Digital Economy

It takes lots of money to develop leading edge technologies, so I'll just hang back a dollar or two and be happy with last years geekness.

39, Don't lie

They tell me the camera doesn't lie, oh yeah and sharks are child friendly.

38, Thin Sliced

Bite sized is right size. Freshly minted and carved right at your table. Oh go on just one more, you know you can fit it in.

37, Tin Dog Food

What else would you feed a tin dog? Not sure if its rich in iron, but I know it has a good Cupronickel content and now with 2% Aluminium. Watch him woof  it down. Good Boy.

36, Light Lines

I can not believe it. A remake of TRON. Ok, maybe the technology is far better now, but TRON for christsake. Anyway, all I remember is light cycles and bad dialogue; so maybe why not?

35, Stimulants

Just a very small section of my desk, but a good indication of what keeps me up at night. Scotch,Caffeine, Beer, Money and Technology. Its all there, what more could a boy want?  Oh yeah, but geeks don't get that.

33, Such a Brut

No really, I apologize in advance to anyone that has a flashback to the bad old days when Brut 33 was de-riguer. 40 years ago we had no idea what guys should smell like, but apparently over scented burning rubber was acceptable. Brut 33 the stench of a generation.
